ARA-Ports

The background for the new Portbase service is the strong need for optimisation of terminal planning for inland vessels in the seaports of Rotterdam and Amsterdam. The aim is to extend the information exchange between vessel operators and terminal operators with real-time position and ETA information so that the planning of terminal operations can be updated until the start of terminal operations. The objective is to show that making this real-time information available to terminals via a function of the Port Community System of Portbase will improve the planning of terminal operations for inland shipping.
